Castelfalfi

Castelfalfi began in the Middle Ages as a fortified settlement between Volterra and San Gimignano. Its location gave it a strategic role in the conflicts between Pisa and Florence. Over time, it lost its military function and became an agricultural village linked to vineyards and olive groves. It was gradually abandoned during the twentieth century, then restored in recent years, returning to life without losing its historic identity.

Inserrata is located in the municipality of San Miniato, in a convenient part of Tuscany. Florence, Pisa and Lucca are approximately 40 minutes away by car. Historic towns such as San Gimignano, Volterra and Monteriggioni are also within reach.

How to Reach Us

From Castelfalfi, drive towards Montaione and continue along the provincial road towards San Miniato. Then follow the signs for La Serra until you reach Via XXIV Maggio 79. The drive takes approximately 35–45 minutes and passes through a typical Tuscan landscape of hills, vineyards and olive groves.
