Castelfalfi

Castelfalfi was founded in the Middle Ages as a fortified settlement between Volterra and San Gimignano, playing a strategic role in the conflicts between Pisa and Firenze. Over time, it lost its military function and became an agricultural village connected to vineyards and olive groves. During the 20th century, it was gradually abandoned, only to be restored in recent years, coming back to life while preserving its historical identity

Starting from Castelfalfi, Inserrata is located in San Miniato, in the province of Pisa. To reach it by car, simply head towards Montaione and continue along the provincial road towards San Miniato, then proceed to La Serra until Via XXIV Maggio 79. The journey, which takes approximately 35–45 minutes, passes through a classic Tuscan landscape of rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves, offering a scenic drive immersed in the quiet beauty of the countryside.
